a containerised reverse osmosis plant<\/strong>, including the <strong>following sub-processes<\/strong>, was chosen:[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pre-treatment\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">Pre-treatment<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<strong>In a first stage<\/strong>, the water coming from the MBR is dosed with an <strong>anti-scaling &#8211; dispersing product<\/strong>. It prevents the salts present in the feed water (calcium and magnesium, sulphates, silica, among others) f<strong>rom fouling the membranes<\/strong> and, therefore, loss of treated water flow. This is done continuously while the plant is in operation.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<strong>Subsequently<\/strong>, a non-oxidising <strong>biocide agent<\/strong> is dosed to eliminate the proliferation of organic contamination present in the water[\/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=&#8221;15599&#8243; animation=&#8221;Fade In&#8221; hover_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; border_radius=&#8221;none&#8221; box_shadow=&#8221;none&#8221; image_loading=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;100%&#8221; max_width_mobile=&#8221;default&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Detail_of_dosing_tanks\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">Detail of dosing tanks<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reverse_Osmosis_System\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">Reverse Osmosis System<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<strong>The pre-treated water<\/strong> passes to the <strong>reverse osmosis module<\/strong>, where it circulates through a 5-micron pore size safety pre-filter in which any colloids and suspended solids that may have escaped from the MBR are retained.[\/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=&#8221;15603&#8243; animation=&#8221;Fade In&#8221; hover_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; border_radius=&#8221;none&#8221; box_shadow=&#8221;none&#8221; image_loading=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;100%&#8221; max_width_mobile=&#8221;default&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Detail_of_the_safety_pre-filter\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">Detail of the safety pre-filter<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Then, the <strong>water is pumped to the reverse osmosis<\/strong> system by means of a high-pressure vertical pump made of <strong>AISI 316<\/strong> stainless steel, which <strong>guarantees the operating pressure<\/strong> and allows the production flow rate required in the case in question to be obtained. <strong>Its function is to maintain a constant inlet pressure<\/strong> to the osmosis system, using a control loop consisting of a pressure transmitter and frequency variator.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/pt-pt\/tecnologias\/osmose-inversa\">reverse osmosis<\/a> system<\/strong> is designed for an input flow of 75 m3\/h and has a conversion factor of 70 %. The plant is equipped with spiral wound membranes, made of polyamide, and specially designed for brackish water up to 8000 ppm and for working at low pressure. They are mounted in pressure housings, made of GRP.<\/p>\n<p>These membranes have a free chlorine tolerance of 0.1 ppm and a maximum operating pressure of 41 bar[\/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=&#8221;15607&#8243; animation=&#8221;Fade In&#8221; hover_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; border_radius=&#8221;none&#8221; box_shadow=&#8221;none&#8221; image_loading=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;100%&#8221; max_width_mobile=&#8221;default&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Detail_of_reverse_osmosis_housings\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">Detail of reverse osmosis housings<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]These membranes have a <strong>high chemical resistance,<\/strong> as they can operate in a pH range of 2 to 13, which makes them very easy to wash and recover, as they accept a wide variety of washing chemicals.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]For <strong>monovalent ions,<\/strong> the separation selectivity varies between 90 and 95 %. For divalent ions the selectivity is over 98 % and for mineral or organic colloids, bacteria, and viruses, this selectivity reaches 99,9 %.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Membrane_cleaning_system\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">Membrane cleaning system<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]A <strong>flushing system<\/strong> has been installed in the reverse osmosis skid<strong> to ensure automatic cleaning<\/strong> of th<strong>e membranes inside the tube.<\/strong> In this case, the system consists of a reagent preparation tank, a stainless-steel recirculation pump, and stainless-steel isolation and recirculation valves.[\/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=&#8221;15611&#8243; animation=&#8221;Fade In&#8221; hover_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; border_radius=&#8221;none&#8221; box_shadow=&#8221;none&#8221; image_loading=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;100%&#8221; max_width_mobile=&#8221;default&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Detail_of_the_sweep_tank\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">Detail of the sweep tank<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Instrumentation_and_control\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">Instrumentation and control\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<strong>The reverse osmosis plant is equipped with instrumentation and control elements<\/strong> (automatic valves, pressure switches, pressure transmitters, flow meters, conductivity, and pH meters&#8230;) that are centralised in an electrical protection and control panel, located in the main skid.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Furthermore, the panel includes a programmable logic controller and a touch screen to monitories and control the process, and a router with Ethernet\/4G connection for remote control. <strong><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">J.
