Huesa<\/span><\/strong>, in which we have carried out the turnkey project of WWTP for a leading multinational company in the production and supply of OMEGA 3 products that recently opened a new production center located in Galicia.<\/p>\n<p>The success of this project lies in the close collaboration between the two companies. Design data has been established as the average of the different samples studied plus a security factor.<\/p>\n<p>After carrying out the tests and taking into account the data provided by our client and the fact that the quality of the treated water must comply with the limits for discharge into the public sewerage system established in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coru\u00f1a D.L.: C-1-1958, <strong><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">J. Huesa&rsquo;s<\/span> <\/strong>technical team opted for the construction of a WWTP made up of the following sub-processes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Pretreatment<\/li>\n<li>Physical &#8211; chemical DAF type<\/li>\n<li>MBR (Membrane Biological Reactor)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/fr\/technologies\/tratamiento-de-fangos\">Sludge Treatment<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th style=\"text-align: center;\">Nominal Flow Rate<\/th>\n<th style=\"text-align: center;\">m\u00b3\/h<\/th>\n<th style=\"text-align: center;\">m\u00b3\/day<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Flow from process<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\">0,625<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\">15<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Flow from CIP (*)<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\">0,098<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\">2,35<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Total inflow from WWTP<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\">0,723<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\">17,35<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Total Design datal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(*) The CIP flow has been calculated taking into account 2 m3 per day of flushing and 21 m3\/h per week for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adopted_Solution\"><\/span>Adopted Solution<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pretreatment\"><\/span>Pretreatment<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In the first stage, it was identified the requirement of building a new pump sump that will be used as a homogenization basin and phosphorous-free reduction chamber and will treat part of the effluents before being mixed with another part of the effluents in order to optimize the chemical treatments required downstream.<\/p>\n<p>This chamber was designed with a useful volume of 27 m3 and the following elements were installed in it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grafting rate at the inlet of the pit in order to retain the coarse solids that are not treated and could damage other elements of the plant.<\/li>\n<li>Floatation and mixing agitation system, designed to agitate grease and a thick layer of floating sludge, allowing the contents of the pit to be mixed.<\/li>\n<li>pH measurement and control sensors.<\/li>\n<li>Submersible pump to feed the physical-chemical, the next sub-process of the WWTP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_18222\" style=\"width: 1010px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18222\" class=\"wp-image-18222 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Vista-arqueta-de-homogenizacion-1.jpg\" alt=\"Homogenization chamber view\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Vista-arqueta-de-homogenizacion-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Vista-arqueta-de-homogenizacion-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Vista-arqueta-de-homogenizacion-1-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-18222\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Homogenization chamber view<\/p><\/div>\n<p>As this chamber will receive water from a high temperature process, it will also allow us to temper the fluid before it reaches the biological treatment plant.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Physical_%E2%80%93_chemical_type_DAF\"><\/span>Physical &#8211; chemical type DAF<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Due to the high levels of suspended solids and oils and fats in the raw water, the technical team decided to install a DAF-type physicochemical unit as a pre-treatment to the MBR because these kinds of components are difficult to biodegrade.<\/p>\n<p>This system reduces the load entering the biological treatment and facilitates the phosphorus elimination processes.<\/p>\n<p>The process consists of three stages: coagulation, neutralization and flocculation. This gives the particle-gas assembly a very high upward velocity. The system also allows particle-gas agglomerates to form clusters, which, like clusters, form assemblies that double the initial ascending velocity. Biological reactor<\/p><\/div>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sludge_Treatment\"><\/span>Sludge Treatment<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>As the reactor evolves, the biological material inside it increases. To keep the bacterial population in the reactor under control, a sludge washing system has been implemented.<\/p>\n<p>The purified sludge is sent to a civil engineering pit where it is kept in motion to prevent sedimentation. The sludge is dewatered in the filtration process, the water falls to the bottom of the unit, which is returned to the head of the WWTP, and the dewatered sludge exits at the rear for appropriate management.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Instrumentation_and_control\"><\/span>Instrumentation and control<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The entire operation of the system is controlled from the electrical panel, where the automaton that manages the installation is located, as well as the touch screen that we use to visualize and parameterize the various operating variables.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to share a new success case of J.
