salts, organic matter and suspended solids.<\/p>\n<p>At this point, the technical department of <strong><span style=\"color: #0971ce;\">J. This sub-process allows<br \/>\nthe formation of flocs of the appropriate size.<\/p>\n<p>The water then passes through a double-stage ring filtration system that removes the flocs formed in<br \/>\nthe mixer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stage 1: two 200-micron ring bells in parallel.<\/li>\n<li>Stage 2: three 50-micron ring bells in parallel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This filter battery is equipped with a controller and automatic cleaning, which is started either by time<br \/>\nin service hours and\/or pressure difference detected between inlet and outlet, starting the cleaning<br \/>\nsequence of each of the filtration hoods. These are cleaned individually one after the other. For cleaning,<br \/>\nthe water accumulated in the boiler is used, while previously filtered and dried compressed air is<br \/>\ninjected. This filter has a system of independent valves to carry out the washing operation of its load. The operation of the valves is automatic and is managed by the automaton located in the control panel included in the reverse osmosis system container.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, there is a glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP) filter with a diameter of 1800 mm. As soon<br \/>\nas this filter requests cleaning, due to time in service hours and\/or pressure difference detected<br \/>\nbetween inlet and outlet, production is interrupted. This cleaning process consists of two stages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Backwashing: for cleaning the load, using the same water used in service and the same<br \/>\npumping system. The duration of this phase can be modified, and the water used is sent<br \/>\nto the drain.<\/li>\n<li>Settling: necessary to prepare the load for the return to service of the filter. As in the<br \/>\nprevious phase, its duration can be modified, and the water used is sent to the drain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This cleaning process is carried out by time and\/or by maximum pressure loss in the water line between<br \/>\nthe inlet and outlet. Both parameters are modifiable on the screen. Once cleaning is requested,<br \/>\nproduction is stopped. Once this process is finished, production is resumed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16653\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16653\" class=\"wp-image-16653 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Filtracion-de-Arena_.jpeg\" alt=\"Sistema de filtraci\u00f3n de arena\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Filtracion-de-Arena_.jpeg 1280w, https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Filtracion-de-Arena_-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Filtracion-de-Arena_-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Filtracion-de-Arena_-768x576.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-16653\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Sand filter system <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reverse_Osmosis\"><\/span>Reverse Osmosis<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>The water then passes into the container in which the reverse osmosis system is located.<\/p>\n<p>The pre-treated water passes to reverse osmosis which is preceded by the following sub-processes:<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Chemical_dosing_system\"><\/span>Chemical dosing system<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The following chemicals are used:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Antiscalant: which prevents the appearance of saline scale on the membranes, improving<br \/>\nthe operation of the system in terms of flow rate.<\/li>\n<li>Sequestrant: to reduce the free chlorine in the water formed by the addition of<br \/>\nhypochlorite during pre-treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Safety_pre-filter\"><\/span>Safety pre-filter<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The pre-treated water passes to the reverse osmosis module, where it is first filtered through 5 micron<br \/>\npore size cartridges that will retain possible leaks of very small particles (suspended solids and colloids).<\/p>\n<p>The safety filter consists of replaceable 5-micron cartridges, which are managed by means of a pressure<br \/>\ndifference measured by two pressure gauges placed at the inlet and outlet of the filter.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reverse_Osmosis-2\"><\/span>Reverse Osmosis<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Once the water is ready, it is pumped by means of a vertical, in-line, high-pressure centrifugal pump in stainless steel AISI<br \/>\n316 with a capacity of 25.7 m3\/h.<\/p>\n<p>The reverse osmosis system is configured in a single stage, consisting of five pressure tubes each<br \/>\ncontaining five membranes, achieving a conversion rate of around 75 %.<\/p>\n<p>The installation is fitted with spiral wound membranes, made of polyamide and specially designed for<br \/>\nbrackish water up to 8000 ppm and with the characteristic of working at low pressure.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Membrane_cleaning_equipment\"><\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16657 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Vista-RO-1-472x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"vista ro\" width=\"472\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Vista-RO-1-472x1024.jpeg 472w, https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Vista-RO-1-138x300.jpeg 138w, https:\/\/jhuesa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Vista-RO-1.jpeg 590w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 472px) 100vw, 472px\" \/>Membrane cleaning equipment<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>All membrane installations become fouled over time, depending to a greater or lesser extent on the pretreatment installed, requiring one to two chemical cleanings per year. The reverse osmosis plant includes a membrane washing system consisting of a reagent preparation tank, stainless steel recirculation pump and stainless-steel stage isolation and recirculation valves. The filling of this tank is automatic thanks to a float valve connected to the same osmosis water line.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Instrumentation_and_control\"><\/span>Instrumentation and control<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The reverse osmosis plant is equipped with instrumentation and control elements (automatic valves,<br \/>\npressure switches, pressure transmitters, flow meters, conductivity and Redox, etc.) which are<br \/>\ncentralised in an electrical panel located in the container.<\/p>\n<p>The panel also includes a programmable logic controller and a touch screen for the operation and<br \/>\nconfiguration of the plant. J.
